St Joseph High School celebrates annual day

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: St Joseph High School, Pashan Road celebrated its annual day programme recently.

Around 700 students of the school presented the musical ‘Annie’ that was based on the theme ‘forgiveness’.

The annual day opened with prayer dance, after which there was a presentation about the activities and initiatives taken up by the school and the achievements of its students in the last academic year. As the slide show presented the names and photographs of the girls who brought fame to the school through various events, be it academics, sports, or performing and creative arts, the audience burst out in applause in praise of the successful girls.

After a musical performance by the girls, the programme moved on to the grand musical ‘Annie’. The musical was about an orphan, Annie who, with her positive attitude and forgiving nature, won everybody’s hearts.

The musical incorporated a variety of dance performances by girls from different classes. The dances were skillfully choreographed by the school’s former students.

The musical was followed by a speech from the chief guest for the day, Shumita Chatterjee Mahajan, renowned Bharatnatyam dance guru and Associate Vice-President of Marketing with Global Talent Track.
