Stray puppies, kittens up for adoption

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: Animal Adoption and Rescue Team (AART) is organising an adoption camp on November 10 at Dr Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Erandwane.

Over 75-plus stray puppies and kittens will be up for adoption at the camp. It is a great opportunity for pet lovers to adopt by their choice between 11 am and 4 pm.

Bharati Tambe, founder, AART said, “Stray puppies and kittens that come to the camps have been rescued from the streets and fostered by our volunteers. As soon as they get healthy, volunteers put them on adoption because they can’t feed themselves on the streets.”

The procedure for adoption will begin with pets registration, tagging with their foster pets with a number and lastly, the pets will be checked by the vets.

The pet parent will be counseled by AART. On meeting all adoption criteria, the forms will be signed wherein an address proof copy and a photograph of the adopter will be maintained.
