PUNE: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday filed a supplementary chargesheet before a special court in the murder case of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar against two alleged shooters, Sachin Andure and Sharad Kalaskar.

As per the chargesheet, Andure was the first shooter who fired at Dabholkar while Kalaskar, who was armed also accompanied him. During the questioning, Andure had revealed the role of Kalaskar, who was nabbed from Aurangabad.

Both Andure and Kalaskar are in prison. The probe to search for the motorcycle used for the killing and the weapon used is still going on.

Both have been charged for offences under Indian Penal Code sections for criminal conspiracy and murder and provisions of Arms Act and Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.

The CBI registered the case on June 2, 2014. Dabholkar was killed on August 20, 2013 when he was on his morning walk on the Omkareshwar Bridge.

Two persons were already present on the bridge and they helped the accused identify Dabholkar. The agency had filed its first chargesheet against alleged Hindu Janjagruti Samiti member Virendra Singh Tawde.
