Suspended employee of PMPML commits suicide

Pune: A Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) employee, who was suspended a month ago, committed suicide at his residence on Tuesday night. The Bhosari police have registered a case.  The deceased has been identified as Tukaram Nivrutti Mundkar (42), a resident of Hanuman Colony in Bhosari. 

According to the Bhosari police, Mundkar’s wife went to her sister’s residence at 10 pm. When she returned, she found that Mundkar had hanged himself to the ceiling fan with a nylon rope. There was no suicide note found.

Mundkar was one among the 158 employees, who were suspended for not completing their attendance sheets. Former PMPML CMD Tukaram Mundhe had suspended those who had not marked their attendance for 22 days in a month.
