ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: The workers of Suvarna Fibrotech Private Limited have donated a sum of Rs 2,58,775 towards ‘Sakal Relief Fund’, for providing relief to the flood-battered Kerala. The workers donated their one day salary to make the donations.

Interestingly, all the workers responded positively to the appeal made by PI Varghese, Founder President and Executive President of the Bhosari MIDC-based company, and collected the amount for Kerala flood victims.

Directors Nelvin Varghese and Sosanna Varghese discussed the idea to donate the amount to the flood victims with the employees and workers of the company. The entire staff of the company responded positively. Pravin Kumar, Sanjay Wagh, Susana Tagachan, along with the directors, employees and workers, decided to give away the donations by contributing their one day salary.

In a small function held at the company premises, the cheque was handed over to Associate Editor Avinash Chilekar.

PI Varghese and Nelvin Varghese lauded various social causes taken up by the Sakal papers. They also spoke on the occasion.
