Three person charred to death after car catches fire

PUNE: Three persons from Junnar were charred to death after the car in which they were travelling caught fire after an accident in Mauje Wadgaon village on Nagar Kalyan Road on Wednesday. 

According to the Pune rural police, the deceased have been identified as 

Dilip Navle (45), Naresh Wagh (42) and Prashant Chaskar (23). 

Officials from the Ale Phata police station said that at around 1.30 am, the trio were heading to Junnar from Pune when their car hit a side barricade. 

The car caught fire after the accident and the three occupants were completely charred inside the car. 

The incident was witnessed by few locals who rushed to douse the fire but could not save the three 

persons who were trapped in the car. 

Officials of the Ale Phata police station rushed to the spot and the bodies were taken for autopsy. 

The police said that the relatives of the deceased were informed about the incident and a case of accidental death has been lodged at Alephata police station. 

Assistant Police Inspector of Alephata police station M Khedkar is investigating the case.
