Tug of war organised by MCYM

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: ‘Njan Malayalee’, a tug of war event organised by the Malankara Catholic Youth Movement (MCYM) Pune, was held on Saturday under the Syro Malankara Catholic Exarchate of St Epherem. 

Brothers Union Team and St Stephen’s Mar Thomas Church’s women team won in their respective categories. 

The event was powered by vLookUp Events, at St Joseph’s Boys High School, Khadki.

The event was inaugurated by Reverend Bishop Joshua Mar Ignathios - Metropolitan Bishop of the Eparchy of Mavelikkara and Vice President of Catholic Bishop Conference of India, MSGR Rev Fr Mattamana and chief guest Pune Malayee Federation President Harinarayan.

A total 15 teams participated in the event.

The Bishop praised the organising team under the leadership of Director Fr Melwin. President Melson Mathew said that the event was successful because of the support from the participating teams, generous sponsors along with the MCYM Pune core team and by the backing up from Jose Alexander, Rex Yohannan and the officials Bro Akhil Thomas, Bro Deepak, Bro George and Bro Anand.
