Two Men Caught With Tiger Skin

Pune: Two persons have been arrested by the Crime Branch Unit 1 of Pune city police for allegedly smuggling a tiger skin worth Rs five lakh.

Based on information received by Police Naik Sachin Jadhav, a team led by Police Sub Inspector Yash Borate and Lahu Satpute laid a trap under the jurisdiction of Samarth police station and nabbed two persons.

During the search, tiger skin worth Rs five lakh was recovered from their possession. The arrested persons have been identified as Rameshwar Harishchandra Deshmukh (35) and Vijay Ganpat Jagtap (38), both residents of Aurangabad. 

Police have also seized their bike worth Rs 40,000. 

An FIR has been registered against them with Samarth police station.

DCP (Crime) Bachchan Singh and Senior Police Inspector Arun Waikar supervised the team, which nabbed the accused persons.
