Two men killed as truck falls into river from old Sangam bridge

Pune:  A truck going from Kamgaar Putla near district court in Shivajinagar towards Juna Bazar Chowk, fell into Mutha river after breaking railing over the old Sangam bridge.

The incident took place around 4.30 am. 

After getting information, officials from Fire Brigade rushed to the spot to rescue the trapped persons.The truck has turned upside down.

The body of the driver identified as Chandrakant Shivanna, a resident of Gulbarga in Karnataka, has been taken out of the truck. 

Fire Brigade personnel are having tough time in rescue operation in the absence heavy to lift the truck.
