Sakal Times

Pune: Vidya Pratishthan’s New Bal Vikas Mandir (VPNBVM) organised a session on Consumer Rights Protection Act for students of Std VIII and IX. The session was conducted by Advocate Sneha Bhapkar.

The session was organised on the occasion of National Consumers Day on December 24.

Adv Bhapkar threw light on some caselaw and how to find remedial measures to problems. The students asked questions and Bhapkar cleared their doubts very effectively.

Bhapkar said, “It is very important for us to be more informed while buying goods. We should also be quality conscious and aware of our rights, in order to restrict business malpractices. We should not only think of our rights but be aware of our responsibility too.”

She concluded by telling the students that Consumer Protection is a legal provision to ensure the rights of consumers.
