Wag-A-Bond to hold puppies and kittens adoption drive tomorrow

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: To convince people to adopt a homeless puppy or kitten, the Wag-A-Bond organisation will hold an adoption camp called ‘Indie Pup and Kitty Adoption Drive’ at Largo Pizzeria in Viman Nagar on Sunday.

The adoption drive will be held between 11 am and 4 pm. Around 30 indie puppies and 10 kittens will be available for adoption at the camp.

The objective of this drive is to convey a message to adopt Indian breeds of stray dogs and cats instead of shopping for foreign breeds, stated the organisers.

“These homeless, stray pups and kitties desperately need shelter. If a mother dies after delivering a litter, the pups need a place and care for survival. All the animals are vaccinated. We will also provide sterilisation service at a nominal charge for the animals after they are adopted,” said Founder of Wag-A-Bond Poonam Kumar.

Adoption will be free of cost, but there will be nominal charges for completing the process.

There will be pet adoption counsellors available at the camp, who will advise people on the procedure of adoption and also assess whether a potential adopter or family of adopters is a good match. Those interested in adopting the pups can get in touch at 9822900859.
