Pune: A 30-year-old woman was found brutally murdered in Kharabawadi area near Volkswagen company in Chakan on Friday morning. A case of murder has been lodged at Chakan police station. Police said that the woman was found in a partially naked condition and was wearing a red saree.

Police added that the woman was hacked with a sharp weapon and assault marks were found on her head, face, hands and other parts of the body. Police suspect that the woman resisted while she was being attacked by the assailant. Police officials are yet to identify the woman. Police Inspector Manoj Yadav of Chakan police is investigating the case.
