Workshop on mainstreaming AYUSH to be held on Feb 22

Pune: AYUSH Centre of Excellence, Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Indian Anthropology Congress Society for Indian Medical Anthropology have jointly organised a workshop on ‘Mainstreaming AYUSH in Public Health. A Capacity Building’ on February 22. The workshop will be held at Shivaji Hall in SPPU.

The aim of the workshop is to share and translate best practices in public health systems. The workshop includes sessions focusing on implementation of AYUSH concepts for addressing public health challenges. The topics covered are a blend of clinical practice and research methods, that cater to the needs of medical officers, clinicians and public health researchers.

Some of the topics to be addressed throughout the day are medical anthropology and AYUSH approaches to lifestyle diseases, CARE guidelines: hands-on training, research in public health.
