Youth injured in road mishap

Pune: The helmet saved the life of a software engineer as a speeding car hit his motorcycle from the rear on Magarpatta Road on Friday around 12.30 am.

Police have identified the injured person as Saurabh Prakash Kadam (30) of Shewalwadi, Haveli taluka. He is undergoing treatment for a head injury at a private hospital in Hadapsar.

An FIR has been registered with Hadapsar police station against the unidentified car driver.
