Nikhil Borkar

PUNE: MPSC Samanvay Samiti, an association of students aspiring for state competitive examinations, has demanded that the State government close down the Maha Pariksha Portal (MPP) and conduct a Special Investigating Team (SIT) or Criminal Investigation Department (CID) inquiry into all recent examinations conducted online by Maha Pariksha Portal (MPP).

During a press conference held on Tuesday, members of the samiti alleged that Maha Pariksha Portal has committed several malpractices like mass copying, repetition of questions, dummy cases, mismanagement at the centre and repeated server down situation during the exam hours.

Rahul Kawthekar, President, Samiti, said, “Several malpractices were found in the exams conducted by the portal including mass copying at several centres in the State, sudden shutting down of the computers, power cuts and various others. Thus, we have demanded the State government conduct an inquiry of all past exams conducted by MPP and also close it down.”

Mahesh Ingole, member said, “We want the State government to initiate an inquiry as soon as possible. Similarly Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) should be given permission to conduct the examinations.”
