‘Gift CM’s post to Ajit Pawar’

Camil Parkhe

PIMPRI: Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde here appealed to voters to gift NCP leader Ajit Pawar the chief minister’s post for his 60th birthday.

Speaking at a function organised on the 60th birthday of Pawar on Monday, Munde regretted that the residents of Pimpri Chinchwad had ensured defeat of the NCP despite the party’s leader Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar being the architects of the development in the city.

Without referring to Chinchwad’s BJP MLA Laxman Jagtap and Bhosari’s independent MLA Mahesh Landge, Munde said voters in the city should have ideally taught a lesson to those who had defected from their party. The voters now can compensate by helping Ajit Pawar get the chief minister’s post, he said.

People from various walks of life who have contributed to the development of Pimpri Chinchwad were felicitated on the occasion. NCP’s City President Sanjog Waghere, Working President Prashant Shitole, Corporators Vaishali Kalbhor, Moreshwar Bhondwe, Raju Misal and Bhausaheb Bhoir were present.
