Aishwarya to lead Maharashtra

Pune: Aishwarya Chavan from Kolhapur will lead Maharashtra hockey team for the Eighth Hockey India Senior Women National Championship (Division A), which will start at Jharkhand in Ranchi on February 1.

Chaitali Duberkar from Pune was named vice-captain of the team. Maharashtra team is placed in Pool D along with All India Universities, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Coorg. State team will play first match against home team Jharkhand on opening day of the tournament.
The final will be played on February 11.
