Aniket, Abhay, Vaishnavi score easy wins in QF

Pune: Aniket Roy, Abhay Nagarajan and Vaishnavi Singh caused upsets to move into the last four stage at the Little Champions Series Tennis Tournament at Royal Connaught Boat Club (RCBC) tennis courts on Sunday.

Aniket Roy was in phenomenal form as he upset second seeded Aaryan Kirrtane 5-1 while Abhay Nagrajan crushed Kartik Shewale 5-3. to enter the semifinal of the Under-8 and Under-10 events resepectively.

Vibrant Vaishnavi Singhcame out with brilliant performance to stun second seed Mehak Kapoor 5-1 to enter the semi finals of the mixed Under-8 category.

Boys, Under-8: 5-Neeraj Jorwekar bt 4-Shourya Ghodke  4-4(7-4); 1-Nameesh Hood bt 6-Daksha Patil 5-2; 7-Siddhant Kumar bt Sujay Deshmukh 4-4(7-5); Aniket Roy bt 2-Aaryan Kirrtane 5-1.
Under-10: Abhay Nagrajan bt 1-Kartik Shewale 5-3; 6-Amogh Damle bt Shardul Khawale 5-3; 8-Surya Kakade bt Harshit Golwalkar 5-0; 5-Aman Shah bt Raj Darda 5-0.
