Bhatia scores upset win to move into last four of Ravine Hotel Super Series Under-16 Tennis

Pune: Seventh seeded Aryaan Bhatia upset top seed Aditya Balsekar 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 to enter the boys singles semi-finals at the Ravine Hotel Super Series Under-16 Tennis Tournament at Ravine Hotel in Panchgani on Wednesday.

Third seeded Sarvesh Birmane, scored a 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 win over Karim Khan while second seeded Niranjan Nikhil Thiru defeated Arjun Gohad 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7-3) in a close contest to make it to the last four. 

In the girls quarterfinals, first seed Sanya Sinha defeated sixth seed Ria Washimkar 6-1, 7-5 while Shrichandra Tentu got past Mrunal Kurlekar with the score of 6-2, 6-1. Meanwhile second seed Gargi Pawar defeated Kamayara Parab 6-4, 6-0.
