Bishop’s, Angel HS girls in quarter-finals

Pune: Defending champions The Bishop’s School Camp and Angel High School advanced into the school girls quarterfinals of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament here on Friday.

The Bishop’s girls stamped their authority thrashing Mount Carmel Convent High School 4-0 at the De Nobili College ground. 

Arhana Vij (8th) netted the first, while Khushi Kavathekar (19th) and Vaishnavi Joshi (22nd) made it 3-0 for Bishop’s in the first 25 minutes. Later, Sakshi Holkar (28th) added one more to tally.

Joining The Bishop’s girls in the last eight was Angel School who had an easy day against The Orbis International School winning 3-0. Earlier, Ness Wadia College defeated Angel Mickey and Minie School 3-1 in a tiebreaker.

Boys:
Senior: Group C, Poona College of Arts Science & Commerce drew with St. Patrick’s School 0-0; Group B: Army Public School, Ghorpadi bt Sir Parashurambhau College 3-0.
College: Group F,  DY Patil Knowledge City drew with Ness Wadia College of Commerce 0-0; Group F: Dhole Patil College of Engineering drew with MIT Academy of Engineering 0-0.
Girls:
School: Ness Wadia College of Commerce bt Angel Mickey and Minie School 3(0)-1(0); The Bishop’s High School Camp bt Mount Carmel Convent High School 4-0; Angel High School bt The Orbis International School 3-0.
