PUNE: Marathi actors participated in the marathon and cheered the runners along the way too. Choreographer Shiv Thakare, who was a semi-finalist in Roadies Rising (Season Two), said, “Each participant in the marathon should make a New Year resolution to start running daily after this event.”

Actors Aroh Welankar and Radhika Deshpande were also spotted among the runners. Welankar said, “The response shown to the event was more than expected. It shows people's enthusiasm about the sport activities."

Deshpande said, "I run daily and practise different exercises. In today's event my daughter participated with me."
