Dev completes a double crown

Pune: Dev Javia collected maximum points over the last two days with singles title on Saturday being the icing on the cake as the Indian defeated Czech Vitek Horak 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 in the Gadre MSLTA-ITF Grade 3 Junior tennis tournament here.

The second seeded Dev defeated big serving Horak in the boy’s singles final match that lasted over two hours. On Friday Dev had won the doubles title in pairing with Kazakh Rostislav Galfinger.

Top seeded Maria Sholokhova of Russia won the girls title beating Tianmi Mi of China 6-7 (2-7), 7-5, 7-5.

The winners received the MV Deo trophy and 100 ITF points, while the runners-up got 60 ITF points. 
Results (Finals): 
Boys: 2-Dev Javia (Ind) bt Vitek Horak (Cze) 5-7, 6-3, 6-3.

Girls: 1-Maria Sholokhova (Rus) bt Tianmi Mi (Chn) 6-7 (2-7), 6-3, 6-2.
