Eight new world class badminton courts opened in Bengaluru

PUNE: Bengaluru which is fast becoming the sports capital of India and is home to many decorated players in the sport of badminton, added eight more  international world class badminton courts with the launch of The Majesstine Sports (TMS), a state of the art integrated multi-sport facility.

TMS is the brainchild of Narayana Raju, a former cricketer, who has served the Karnataka Cricket Association (KSCA) in various capacities, including as its chief  curator, having also developed and overseen operations at the NRA Grounds for 18 years. “I realised the need for quality sports infrastructure across the city using  cutting edge technology clubbed with professional and reputed trainers to be made available to the public at affordable costs,” said Raju during the launch of the  multi sports facility which was inaugurated by former India speedster Javagal Srinath and M Satish Reddy, MLA, Bommanahalli.

TMS will be offer a complete scholarship to talented and deserving players. The scholarship would include the entire training progamme at the Centre of  Excellence along with accommodation and education. To kickstart this initiative, five local government schools in Bommanahalli have been targeted to scout talent  and will be spread across the city.
