England cricketers arrive in India; will undergo strict quarantine

The England cricket team arrived at Chennai International Airport in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday to play a four-match Test series against India.

England is ready to battle India for four Tests followed by five T20Is and three ODIs. Notably, the two-long series will start with Test series for which England will arrive the country in two lots. The four-match Test series will start from February 5 in Chennai.

The two lots of England cricketers will be under quarantine in Chennai however, the duration and protocols of the quarantine period are yet to be confirmed.

Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes and few members from the support staff have already reached Chennai on Sunday. The Indian players are supposed to arrive in batches on Wednesday. As a precautionary degree, the BCCI has booked the Leela Palace Hotel for the members of both the teams, the support staff and the match officials.

India squad (First two Tests): Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Wriddhiman Saha, Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul (subject to fitness), Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Ravi Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel.

England squad (First two Tests): Joe Root (captain), Moeen Ali, Dom Bess, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Zak Crawley, Ben Foakes, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Ben Stokes, Olly Stone, Dom Sibley, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, James Anderson.
