PUNE: Evening Stars ‘B’ team crushed JBC-4 3-0 in the Group A contest of the 63rd PDMBA Team League Championship at Modern Sports Complex on Friday.

Parth Ghube started the proceedings on a winning note for Evening Stars, defeating Atharva Chivate 21-14, 21-13. Evening Stars continued their dominance with doubles pair of Akshay Date and Ninad Dravid getting the better of Arnav Atre and Soham Panse 21-5, 21-8 to take an unassailable lead. In the last match, Advait Bhange and Chetan Shah trounced Mayank Mishra and Sahil Paranjape 21-1, 21-18.

In the second Group A match, Royal Eagles beat Five Shuttlers 3-0. Tejas Chitale of Eagles scored a 21-4, 21-4 win over Mayank Mishra.

Group A: Evening Stars B beat JBC-4 3-0; Royal Eagles beat Five Shuttlers 3-0; Falcons beat Shuttle Fighters 3-0.
Group B: Revolutionary Comrades beat NKBA Fanatics B 2-1.
Group C: NKBA Fanatics A beat Evening Stars A 2-1; Badminton Addicts beat Cross Court D 3-0.  
Group D: Cross Court B beat Bintaang Smashers 3-0; NKBA beat JBC-5 3-0; Shuttle Breakers lost to Raging Titans; Baddy Fighters beat Kaizen 3-0.
