Pune: Fergusson College defeated Delhi Public School 3-1 to clinch the Under-19 title in the Zilla Parishad Table Tennis Tournament being played at Symbiosis School, Prabhat Road, here on Friday.

Isha Joshi started things on the right note for Fergusson College as she scored a 11-5, 11-3 victory over opponent Shikha Bhatt.

In the next match, her namesake, Isha Parande, continued the winning spree for Fergusson defeating Hunar Malik 11-3, 11-3.

Taking a 2-0 lead, it was expected that Fergusson will wrap up the final in third match but Aryaki Thakur scored a one sided 11-3, 11-2 victory over Madhavi Pandkar to give Delhi Public School their first victory.

In the fourth match, Isha Joshi did not face any trouble and registered her second victory defeating Hunar Malik with the score reading 11-2, 11-7, which gave her team Fergusson College a 3-1 victory and the title.
