PUNE: Seventh seed Mehek Kapoor defeated Eesha Rathod 5-1 in the first round of the girls Under-10 category of the third Leg of Icon Group Little Champions Series Tennis Tournament being played at Balewadi Sports Complex on Sunday.

In another action, Niharika Ghoshal defeated Sejal Ijantkar 5-3 while Ritika Kapare got past Dhanya Bhandari with the score reading 5-0. Meanwhile, Prisha Shinde who is eighth seeded defeated Vrinda Sarkha 5-0 to advance further.

In the boys Under-10 second round, first seed Arnav Paparkar beat Devraj Reddy 6-0 while ninth seeded Swaraj Dhamdhere defeated Anshul Deshpande 5-0.
