Indian boys and girls eye glory

Pune: The young boys and girls teams from the nation are ready to live their footballing dreams, as they gear up to take part in the prestigious Gothia Cup to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from July 16-22.

On Monday, SKF India announced two teams comprising of 17 boys and 12 girls, which will represent their country in the Under-12 tournament.

Indian boys team is participating in the tournament since last seven years while for girls, this will be the second year of participation.
The players from both the teams have been selected from municipal schools of Pimpri Chinchwad and Ahmedabad. They were trained under SKF Sports Education Program.

This initiative is a part of SKF’s social commitment to help underprivileged players to garner international exposure and get a holistic development platform which will help them in future.

Boys: Akib Ansari, (Captain) Chetan Sawant, Jay Sakat, Harshad Mutkule, Akhlak Ansari, Bajrang Giri, Hanamant Kamanali, Shakil Khan, Arjun Bhalerao, Daood Mujawar, Sanjay Tongale, Ramdas Mane, Hardik  Makwana, Aaryan Solanki, Rahul  Gohil, Akshay Bhandare, Rahul Kharat.
Girls: Rahin Shaikh (Captain), Roshni Nayak, Maya Rabari, Mahiya Chauhan, Khushbu Saroj, Divya Thakor, Sunita Raval, Aruna Chauhan, Roshani Pandit, Mahek Shaikh,Nisha Parse, Anuja Kshirsagar.
