ISL: Pune slump to 1-3 defeat at home

SPORTS REPORTER

Pune: 10-men FC Pune City’s home vows continued with a 1-3 defeat, as Bengaluru FC solely went top of the table during their Hero Indian Super League season 4 match at the Balewadi Sports Complex here on Thursday.

In a match, where a winner had a chance to go top of the table, the hosts went ahead in the 35th minute via Adil Khan header. But a 55th minute sending off Baljit Sahni for the second bookable offence changed the course of the game.

With their man advantage, the visitor’s started putting on more pressure on Pune’s rear guard, and the equaliser came in the 65th minute when Venezuelan striker, Miku slotted the ball home at the near post from a close range.

He then put the Bengaluru FC ahead after Eduardo Garcia’s initial ball was blocked by Rafael Lopez, with Miku firing in the rebound.
