Jai Hind HS qualify for league Rd

Pune:  Jai Hind High School & Junior College had an easy day out trouncing Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya 4-0 to qualify for the league stage of the senior boys’ category in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament, at the Hedgewar ground, PCMC.

In a Round-2 encounter, Pimpri-based Jai Hind H.S & Junior College rolled on strikes from Piyush Rohra (4th), Piyush Rohra (5th); Rajiv Parwani (14th) and an own goal by Kedar Garud (48th).

Jai Hind boys controlled the match right from the start with their strikers playing attacking game which help them to secure an easy win.
In the college boys’ section, Baburaoji Gholap College, ASM CSIT and Indira College of Commerce scored contrasting wins to storm into the league phase.

Baburaoji Gholap College rode on the lone strike by Shubham Sawant (3rd) to put out Indira College of Engineering & Management 1-0.
Indira College of Commerce had a fruitful result thumping Dr. D.Y Patil Arts Science & Commerce College, Akurdi 9-0. Bhuvan Pillay scored four goals (12th, 17th, 20th, 31th).

A brace by Kevin Ghadge (14th, 35th) and a goal each Omkar Yadav (39th), Brendon Walsh (40th) and an own goal by Pratyush Singh (33rd) accounted for Indira’s tally.

ASM (CSIT) College of Commerce, Science and Information Technology booked their place in the league phase with a 3-0 win over Dr. D.Y Patil College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology. Vikas Singh (11th) opened the scoring for ASM CSIT, before a Vinayak Anmol (47th, 52nd) took over to complete the event.
