Jalgaon crowned champions

Pune: Jalgaon thrashed Osmanabad 5-0 to lift the title in the State Level Inter District Men’s Hockey tournament which took place at SSVPS Arts and Science College ground, Devpur road in Dhule on Sunday.

Altaf Khan scored the first goal in the fourth minute to give Jalgaon an early lead into the game. Thirteen minutes later, Arif Quershi made it 2-0 for Jalgaon.

In the second quarter of the match, Tabish Quershi scored the third goal to give Jalgaon a 3-0 lead. 

Two more goals were added as Akil Khan and Tausif Quershi scored in 38th and 47th minutes respectively as Jalgaon walked home with a comfortable victory.

Final
Jalgaon 5 (Altaf Khan 4th, Arif Quershi 13th, Tabish Quershi 21st, Akil Khan 38th, Tausif Quershi 47th) beat Osmanabad 0.
