Jr Kirrtane tames top seed Ritsa

Pune: Nitten Kirrtane’s son, Aryan Kirrtane, came out with a fine performance to clinch the mixed category title defeating top seed Ritsa Kondkar in the ICON Group ‘Little Champions Series Tennis Tournament’ at Maharashtra Mandal, Katariya High School, Mukund Nagar, on Monday.

Aryan controlled the match right from the start and notched a 7-1 victory over Ritsa.  In the Boys Under-10 category, Shardul Khawale oust Saksham Bhansali 7-4 to clinch the trophy.

Final: 2-Aryan Kirrtane bt 1-Ritsa Kondkar 7-1
Semi-final: 1-Ritsa Kondkar bt Devraj Mandade 6-3; 2-Aryan Kirrtane bt 3-Sujay Deshmukh 6-2.

Final: 5-Shardul Khawale bt 1-Saksham Bhansali 7-4.
Semi-final: 1-Saksham Bhansali bt 3-Archit Dhoot 6-2; 5-Shardul Khawale bt 8-Devraj Mandade 6-0.

Final: 1-Prisha Shinde bt 2-Mrunal Shelke 7-1
Semifinal: 1-Prisha Shinde bt Ritsa Kondkar 6-2; 2-Mrunal Shelke bt 3-Kavya Deshmukh 6-3
