Millennium, St Vincent’s boys enter finals

Pune: Millennium National School defeated Army Public School, Race Course 3-2 in the tie-breaker to enter the finals in the Under-14 category of the Subroto Mukherjee Cup Qualifiers being played at PDFA ground in Dobarwadi here on Sunday.

No goals were scored till regulation time which led to the tie-breakers in which the Millennium boys walked home with the win. In the tie-breaker, Anees Deshmukh, Pratik Gabhale and Sujan More scored for Millennium while Dhruvjyoti Das and Arjit Sharma scored for Army Public School.

In another semi-final encounter, St Vincent’s High School defeated Loyola High School 9-8 in sudden death.
And again no goals were scored at regulation time which led to the tie breaker in which Hamza Motiwala, Harsh Jagdale and Arya Walia scored for St Vincent’s while Swajyot Ahuwalia, Shlok Choudhary and Rajwardhan Patil scored for Loyola. 

In the sudden death Om Nikam, Prajwal Paatne and Bhargav Sawant scored for St Vincent’s while Mark Milton, Akshat Dadu and Anurag Pawar scored for Loyola. In the second sudden death, Ashish Chopde, Brian Lazarus and Hamza Motiwala scored for St Vincent’s while Krish Madan and Swajyot Ahuwalia scored for Loyola.
Earlier in the quarterfinal match, St Vincent’s High School defeated Vidya Bhavan High School, Model Colony 4-0.
