Pune: The qualifiers of Neymar Jr’s Five, a five -a-side football tournament, will take place in Pune on January 20 and 21.
Before coming to Pune, qualifiers took place at Aizawl on January 13 and it will be conducted in more than 12 cities, which include Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Delhi, Aizawl, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi and Shillong.
The winning team will take part in the Neymar Jr’s Five National final, which will held in March. The winners will seal the berth for the Neymar Jr’s Five 2018 World Finals, which is to be held in Brazil in July.
The tournament is the biggest 5-a-side football tournament in the country. The pre-qualifiers of the third edition of Neymar Jr’s Five kicked off in September 2017 at Futsal Arena, DY Patil Stadium, as part of the 4-day long football festival prior to FIFA U-17 World Cup.
