PUNE: Gunners FC defeated Commandos FC ‘A’ 1-0 in the first division match of the Pune District Football Association’s PDFA League in progress at the association’s ground in Dobarwadi here on Sunday.
Jayant Nimbalkar scored the lone goal for Gunners in the 45th minute with a pass from Pranav More.
In another first division match, Ghorpadi Young Ones defeated PIFA 2-0. Prabhu Bhandari scored the first goal in the fourth minute for the Ghorpadi boys while Ruturaj Patil scored the second in the 15th minute.
In the second division encounter, Blue Stage FC defeated Ashoka XI 1-0 with Pratik Mishara scoring in the 38th minute.
Later in the day, Dynamites played out a goalless draw against opponents Ghorpadi Tamil United.
