Oak, Deshmukh, Bansode and Chetri emerge victorious

PUNE: Tej Oak, Shrawani Deshmukh, Sarth Bansode, Simran Chetri claimed titles in their respective events at the PMDTA-KPIT Junior Championship Bronze Series Ranking Tennis Tournament which was played at the Future Pro Tennis Academy, Yerawada on Tuesday.

In the boys Under-12 final, sixth standard student of Symbiosis School, Tej Oak upset top seeded Advik Natekar 4-2, 4-1 to emerge victorious.

In the girls section, eighth standard student of Sinhgad Spring Dale School, unseeded Shrawani Deshmukh upset fourth seeded Mrunal Shelke 4-1, 2-4, 4-0 to walk home with the title. 

In the boys Under-14 event finals, nintth standard student of P Jog School, second seeded player Sarth Bansode upset top seeded Aryan Hood 1-4, 5-4 (7-4), 5-4(11-9). 

In the girls Under-14 event, eighth standard student of DPS School, fifth seeded Sirman Chetri scored a 1-4, 4-1, 4-2 victory over opponent Shrawani Deshmukh.

Boys: Semifinals: 1-Advik Natekar bt Shardul Khawale 7-2; Tej Oak bt 5-Arnav Bansode 7-4;
Final: Tej Oak bt 1-Advik Natekar 4-2, 4-1.
Girls: Semifinals: Shrawani Deshmukh bt 1-Devanshee Prabhudesai 7-4; 4-Mrunal Shelke bt Anushka 7-1.
Final: Shrawani Deshmukh bt 4-Mrunal Shelke 4-1, 2-4, 4-0.

Under-14:
Boys: Semifinals: 1-Aryan Hood bt 3-Parth Deorukhkar 7-6 (8-6); 2-Sarth Bansode bt Abhiram N 7-2;
Final: 2-Sarth Bansode bt  1-Aryan Hood 1-4, 5-4 (7-4), 5-4(11-9);
Girls: Semifinals: 5-Sirman Chetri bt 7-Devanshee Prabhudesai 7-5; Shrawani Deshmukh bt Sanchita Nagarkar 7-6 (7-5); 
Finals: 5-Sirman Chetri bt Shrawani Deshmukh 1-4, 4-1, 4-2.
