The Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Thursday reported three new cases of players testing positive for novel coronavirus taking the total positives in the tournament to seven.
Now, according to Cricbuzz, after seven cases of COVID-19 were reported during the tournament, the PCB has decided to postpone the remainder of PSL 2021 with immediate effect. England’s Tom Banton was the latest player to test positive for novel virus. Also, Pakistan-born Australian leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed and two other foreign players have tested positive for COVID-19
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday stated that it has decided to offer COVID-19 vaccine doses to all participants of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this year. PCB in a statement said, “Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to offer SARS-Coronavirus Vaccine doses to all participants of the Pakistan Super League 6, becoming the first cricket board to use the vaccine that produces protection against the Covid-19 virus.”
