Paparkar in line for double crown

Pune: Arnav Paparkar of Maharashtra and Ikaraju Kanumuri of Telangana laced themselves in line for a double crown entering the singles finals and lifting the  doubles title in the Boys and Girls event at the MSLTA- Yonex Sunrise Hotel Ravine Super Series Under 12 tennis tournament 2018 organised by Ravine Hotel at  their tennis courts on Thursday.

Second-seeded Paparkar came back from a set down to move past the third-seeded Sri Pranav Tamma of Karnataka 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 in the first semi-final.

In the second semi-final, Chaitra Galiveti Reddy of Telangana too registered a comeback 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Tamilnadu’s top-seeded Mahalingam Khandhavel to  book a place in the summit clash. 
Meanwhile, in the doubles final, Paparkar teamed up with Gujarat lad Vraj Gohil to score a   2-6, 6-1, 10-8 win over Rurik Rajini and Krish Tyagi to earn the doubles  title.
