Pratik Nirmale wins Vespa golf

Pune: Pratik Nirmale won the Vespa Golf Championship on a countback beating Shishir Donde on the sixth backnine hole in Gold Division at the Poona Club Golf Course here over the weekend.

Nirmale scored 37 Stableford points. Runner-up Shishir Donde too scored 37 but lost on a countback.

Ajay Kapur won the Silver Division trophy, while BD Deshpande took the Bronze Division trophy.

Akashdeep Kaul hit 301 yards and 9 feet on Hole No 18 to win ‘Longest Drive’ contest.

Results:
Gold Division (Handicap 0-9): 1. Pratik Nirmale 37 pts, 2. Shishir Donde 37.
Silver Division (Handicap 10-18): 1. Ajay Kapur 42, 2. Brig Biswajit Bhattacharya.
Bronze Division (Handicap 19-30): 1. BD Deshpande 44, 2. Anirudh Shrotriya 42.
Closest to pin (Hole No 4): Anuj Dhody.
Straightest drive (Hole No 3): Kabir Rai.
Longest Drive (Hole No 18): Akashdeep Kaul.
