Hyderabad: Dawning into the colours of Gujarat Fortunegiants for the Pro Kabaddi League Season-5, Fazel Atrachali is looking forward to have a wonderful season with the debutant team.
“It is very nice to play with a new team. Although it is challenging but young players are very energetic and it is fun to teach these youngsters,” said Fazel in an interaction with Sakal Times.
Well known for his raiding skills on Kabaddi circuit, Fazel has experience of playing kabaddi with U Mumba and Patna Pirates in the Season 3 and 4 respectively.
“I played with well experienced and big players in U Mumba and Patna pirates. It was good experience to play along side big players. Both the teams care about their players and for me if you care about your players they will definitely perform well.”
Fazel was the part of the Iraninan team which lost to India in the final of the Kabaddi World Cup 2016.
“Winning title in Season 4 was a great feeling. We had a great team and we played with lot of energy and it helped us to win the game,” added Fazel who has 95 tackle points in his kitty from last two seasons.
PKL is above all
Fazel gave full credits to Pro Kabaddi League for taking game to different level.
“If we speak about professional league in kabaddi sports than for me it is very professional and better than Asian Games and World Cup. Along with this it produces so many young talents and changing their lives.”
Iran is the second best team in Asia when it comes to Kabaddi. Iran has always come hard on India whether it is World Cup or Asian Games.
“Most of the Iranian people follow kabaddi as they found sports very interesting. They usually say that kabaddi is more dangerous than another sports.”
New tactics coming
Gujarat Fortunegiants will start their campaign against Dabang Delhi on Tuesday and Fazel is all set to start with a bang.
“Just wait and watch, you will see so many interesting sides of me this season. I am ready with new tactics.”
