Jaipur: Puneri Paltan kept things in control as they defeated hosts Jaipur Pink Panthers 38-30 in a Pro Kabaddi League Inter-zone wildcard encounter at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium here on Sunday.

Pune captain Deepak Hooda gave his side flying start. As Paltan steadily got the grip of the game as the hosts struggled to score points.

Things looked good for the Paltans as they led 19-9 at half-time.

Meanwhile, the hosts who were seen struggling with their raiding looked to make a comeback.

In the second half, the Pune boys continued their dominance. A second ‘All out’ by them saw the score jump to 25-10.

Jaipur tried to catch up and close in but they seemed to be too slow as the Pune team kept on adding points to their kitty and ultimately won the match.

Gujarat beats Patna
Earlier Gujarat Fortunegiants beat Patna Pirates 33-29 to enter the play-offs.   The Gujarat lads were up to the mark in their defence as they led at half-time with the score of 18-12.

On switching sides, the Pirates closed in as a good effort from Monu Goyat saw the team inching closer to equalising, but Fortunegiants kept their momentum.
