Pune International Junior College enters U-19 final

Pune: Pune International Junior College defeated Army Public School, Race Course 1-0 in the semifinal of the Under-19 category of the Zilla Parishad football tournament being played at the PDFA football ground in Dobarwadi on Saturday.

Aditya Kamble scored the lone goal for Pune International Junior College in the 22nd minute. 

In the quarterfinal match, The Bishop’s School, Camp defeated opponents RB Academy 7-0 to win with ease. Shiva Pandey was in good form as he scored five goals in the 3rd, 4th, 7th, 11th and 28th minutes. Meanwhile Gatso Sonam (18th) and Pranav Jagannath (19th) added one goal each to the tally.

Quarterfinals: Army Public School, Race Course 4 (Himanshu Lamba 6th, Gaurav Suryawanshi 17th, Shlok Bajpai 22nd, Digvijay Singh 28th) bt Poona College 0; Pune International Junior  college 0 (4) Autsin D’Cruz, Yash Jhunjhunwala, Manish Siddha, Prasad Kone) bt Loyola Junior College 0 (2) Neeraj Gawali, Yash Deshpande); Fergusson 1 (Vedant Malkarnekar 24th) bt St Patrick’s 0.
Semifinal: Pune Int’l Junior College 1 (Aditya Kamble 22nd) bt Army Public School, Race Course 0.
