Pune International Junior College registers victory

PUNE: Pune International Junior College defeated BMCC 1-0 in the third round of the Under-19 category of the Zilla Parishad football tournament being played at the PDFA football ground in Dobarwadi on Friday.

Yash Shinde from Pune International Junior College scored the lone goal in the 14th minute to help his team enter the next round.

In another match, Army Public School, Race Course defeated SM Choksey Junior College 3-0. Himanshu Lambha from Army Public School was in good form as he scored an hattrick in the 16th, 24th and 29th minutes.

Meanwhile Loyola High School and Junior College defeated Sardar Dastur Junior College 1-0 with Ryan Anthony scoring the lone goal in the 23rd minute.

Also registering a win was St Patrick’s Junior College who defeated Symbiosis College 2-0. 

Stephen Chiru from St Patrick’s struck twice in the 6th and 24th minutes.
In another fixture, Fergusson College got past Bharati Vidyapeeth, Balewadi with the score of 4-0.
