PUNE: Title holders PYC ‘A’ started their campaign on a winning note as they outplayed MWTA  ‘A’ 24-7 in the Elite Division matches in the seventh edition of the Shashi Vaidya Memorial Inter-Club Tennis Championship in progress at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana Tennis courts here on Friday.

In other matches of the day, Balewadi ‘B’ edged out Navsahyadri Dynamites 21-16 while Law College Lions scored a close 20-18 win over ODMT ‘A’ followed by Solaris RPTA who scraped past MWTA ‘C’ 21-15 in a close encounter.
