Pune: A perfect three by Rupesh Maske helped Matoshree English Medium School beat Emmanuel Marthoma School 3-0 in Round 1 of the Under-14 boys encounter of the Inter-School Football Tournament at SSPMS ground on Wednesday.
Rupesh struck in the 11th, 18th and 21st minutes to score a hattrick as Matoshree English Medium School advanced further.
In another encounter, Delhi Public School, Mohammadwadi defeated Dr Shamrao Kalmadi High School, Erandwane 1-0 with Jaskaver Bhatti scoring the lone goal in the 20th minute.
Meanwhile, YMCM English Medium School got past Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Sulochana Natu Prashala 1-0 with Piyush Chavan scoring in the 7th minute.Also winning was Abhinav School who beat St Thomas High School 4-2 in the tie-breaker.
