Saina and Yashraj walk home with trophies

Pune: Upcoming tennis players from the city, Saina Deshpande and Yashraj Dalvi showed their class to clinch titles in the boys and girls categories respectively in the MSLTA Yonex Sunrise Arun Wakankar Memorial All India Ranking Talent Under-16 Series Tennis Tournament which concluded at the SP College tennis courts here on Friday. 

In form Saina, who was coming from an upset 6-3, 6-4 win over second seed Lolakshi Kankariya in the semi-final continued her good form and registered a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Ruma Gaikaiwari.

Amongst the boys, Yashraj Dalvi hardly broke a sweat to defeat third seeded opponent Daksh Agarwal with the score of 6-2, 6-2.
It turned out be the day of double joy for Saina as she claimed the doubles title as well. 

Pairing with Ruma Gaikaiwari, duo defeated Lolakshi Kankariya and Samiksha Shroff 7-5, 6-3. Boys title went to Daksh Agarwal and Anargha Ganguly who breezed past Indrajeet Borade and Rohan Phule 6-1, 6-3.

Results: (Finals)
Girls: 5-Saina Deshpande bt Ruma Gaikaiwari 6-2, 6-1.
Doubles: Siya Deshmukh and Ruma Gaikaiwari bt Lolakshi Kankariya and 3-Samiksha Shroff 7-5, 6-3.
Boys: 2-Yashraj Dalvi bt 3-Daksh  Agarwal 6-2, 6-2.
Doubles: 1-Daksha Agarwal and Anargha Ganguly bt Indrajeet Borade and Rohan Phule 6-1, 6-3.
