Sayali wins U-16 title

PUNE: Sayali Shitole from Poona School and Home for Blind Girls clinched the Under-16 title and also finished second in the open category at the National School Chess Championship for Blinds which concluded at Alandi on Saturday.

Meanwhile Megha Chakraborty from Kolkata won the title in the open category. Muskan Pardeshi of PSHB put on a good show as she won the Under-14 title and was fifth in the open category. Kartiki Keskar of PSHB emerged victorious in the Under-12 category. 

Tejasvini Ghongde  of Jagruti Andhadhala Alandi won the Under-10 title while Nivida Mahajan of PSHB was the runner-up in the Under-10 Category. 

Calcutta Blind School, WB with 15 points won the team championship while Poona School and Home for Blind Girls team with 14 points was the runner-up.
