Pune: St Joseph’s High School Ghorpadi, City International School, DES Secondary School and Erin Nagarvala Boarding School recorded wins to make it to the next round of ZP football tournament here on Monday.

St Joseph’s High School Ghorpadi took an early lead against Matoshri English Medium School via Ramesh Mitikala. They had to toil for the rest of the match as Matoshri School gave a good account for themselves for the rest of the match to limit St Joseph’s to just a solitary goal.

In another match, DES Secondary School too had to rely on a solitary goal to get past St Crescent’s School on Monday. Akshay Dere’s well-taken strike for DES Secondary School to earn them three vital points.

Soham’s double 
Soham Ghadge sparkled for Nagarvala Boarding School as his brace propelle them to a 2-0 win over SS Agarwal School. Soham was in fine form as he constantly troubled the Agarwal School defenders with his movement and quickfire pace.

In later matches; Lokseva School, Agrasen High School and City International School registered important wins.
