Superstar Ronaldinho launches Premier Futsal Season Two

Mumbai: Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho launched Season Two of Premier Futsal in an event here on Friday.

The league has got bigger this season as Mumbai’s National Sports Complex of India will host the opening match of the season 2 with Delhi and Bengaluru being the host cities this season, with Goa paving way.

But the Premier Futsal has really really showed the intent to grow bigger this season with Dubai hosting the semi-final and the final, with final being played on October 1, of the tournament with Premier Futsal collaborating with Dubai Sports Council.

37-year old Brazilian Ronaldinho, who could only manage to play two games in the  last season, also extended his contract with Premier Futsal by three years.

“I am happy to be here (in India) . The very first season was a huge success that motivated everyone at the back here.  This season is going to be a bigger success. I  am very happy to be hear and receive the love of fans and people from India,” said the former Ballon d’Or winner.

Ronaldinho, who played for numerous clubs which includes Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain in his trophy laden career expressed that India’s improvement in the FIFA rankings will not help just Premier Futsal but also in the overall development of the football in the country, with FIFA Under-17 World Cup scheduled to be played in India in October, a tournament which the Brazilian living legend won as a teenager in 1997.
