Vinil, Prisha, Ritika ensure semis berth

Pune: Prisha Shinde and Ritika Ganpule secured an identical 6-3 wins while Vinil Patil scored 7-5 victory over Nishit Rahane in the Under-10 girls and boys category to enter the semifinals. 

In the Baker’s Basket Junior Open Tennis Tournament played at Poona Club Tennis Courts on Thursday, Prisha ousted  Shreya Bhor 6-3 while Ritika accounted Riddhi Ganpule 6-3. 

In the third quarter-final,  Anandita Mantri sweat it out hard before sending Riya Bakre out of the tournament with 6-4 victory.

Last semifinal berth was sealed by Kailtya Edwards who crashed Arni Saxena 6-4. 

Jay Shelar also moved into the semifinal defeating Aryan Rajkuntwar 7-3 in an easy contest.

Shreyas Kumar and Jay Dixit   became last two players to enter the last four with as win over Aryan Khinvsara  and Om Ranpise respectively.

Under-10: Prisha Shinde bt Shreya Bhor 6-3, Ritika More bt Riddhi Ganpule 6-3, Anandita Mantri bt Riya Bakre 6-4; Kailtya Edwards bt Arni Saxena 6-4.
Boys:
Vinil Patil bt Nishit Rahane 7-5, Jay Shelar bt AryanRajkuntwar 7-3; Shreyas Kumar bt Aryan Khinvsara 7-0; Jay Dixit bt Om Ranpise 7-2.
